Meet Our Director

Dear Fairmount Families,
 
Welcome to Fairmount Early Childhood Center!  My name is Karen Leeds, and I am the Preschool Director for Beachwood City Schools. Beachwood Schools and the Beachwood community have been a part of my life since I was 7 years old and moved to Beachwood with my family. I am a Beachwood High School graduate, and my commitment to the district continued as I furthered my education and began working at Fairmount. As the Preschool Director, I’m dedicated to welcoming families into the center and helping each student develop a strong foundation for their education in the early childhood classrooms. 
 
At Fairmount we strive to help support a child’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical and academic development in an engaging, fun, and hands-on approach to foster a love for learning. Our child-centered classrooms, learning environments and highly trained staff are what make Fairmount an exceptional Five-Star Step Up To Quality-rated program. Students are encouraged to stretch their learning through the daily curriculum and experiences provided that align with the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards.
 
I look forward to continuing to provide an exceptional early childhood program for the youngest learners in the Beachwood School district.
